Why is it when I run I get pain only in my left knee and not the right? Why when I sit in front of my computer do I find my neck stretched forward and my shoulders completely hunched over? And why when I sit for long periods of time does my body seem to ache all over? The human body, as we all know, is very complex. WRONG! When we look at the body from the external perspective we can gauge very accurately where a person is feeling pain and why. The Egoscue Method, started by Peter Egoscue in 1978, is based upon the body functioning as a unit with full range of motion on each side of the body. Watching how a person walks, sits, and stands can show the different compensations our body creates when one little thing is off balance. The reason my left knee hurts when I run is because a lean more to my right causing the muscles on the left hip region to become more and more dormant places strain when I am active. My neck is bent forward at my computer because those muscles are not strong enough to keep it upright. My body hurts when I sit so long because our bodies are made for adequate movement that constantly strengthens the muscles in the right direction.

The question now is what kind of movement should I be doing? The Egoscue Method provides over 600 exercises of specified movement that works to correct a person’s dysfunction specifically for where their body needs it. From preventative to people who are in chronic pain Egoscue has been able to help hundred of thousands of people get back into living an active lifestyle without hindrance. These non-evasive methods, and simple body positions that therapists place each client in has been able to relieve the body of undo stresses placed on joints due to compensations over a period of a time. In his forward of Health Through Motion professional golfer Jack Nicklaus says “Pete gets results, without pills, manipulation or a surgeons scalpel. There are no gimmicks or shortcuts here; it just takes hard work and dedication.”

The Egoscue Method has been proven and is a well kept secret in the health and wellness world. Peter Egoscue, founder and author of Pain Free and The Egoscue Method of Health Through Motion, is so confident in his methods that if you are diligently doing the exercises and feel no difference at the end you will receive a full refund. In ten years I have had to give one person a refund! Learn a new method for curing and preventing pain. Check out our website for more information www.orangecounty.egoscue.com.
