Dr.
Zubair attended Auburn University and in 1981 received a B.S. in
Chemistry. He then proceeded to the University of Alabama at Birmingham
where he attained his M.D. in 1985.
After
graduation, he began fulfilling his internship, also at the University of
Alabama School of Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine.
Immediately following his internship, he pursued his residency program,
completing this in 1988.
Upon
completion of his internship and internal medicine residency, Dr. Zubair moved
to Utah to accept a Fellowship position in Cardiology at the University of Utah
Medical Center in Salt Lake City, through 1989.
From
1989-1990, Dr. Zubair served as the Clinical Electrophysiology Fellow at the
University of Utah. He then fulfilled a fellowship in Research
Electrophysiology, through 1991.
Dr.
Zubair is a Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine and
in Cardiac Electrophysiology. He is a Member of Phi Eta Sigma and Alpha
Epsilon Delta honor societies. Dr. Zubair is on active staff at LDS
Hospital, Salt Lake Regional Medical Center, Jordan Valley Hospital, and at St.
Marks Hospital. He is also on courtesy staff at Alta View and Cottonwood
Hospitals.
A native
of Pakistan, Dr. Zubair enjoys Utah's unique blend of cultural activities,
traditional values, and mountain terrain.
