Dr.
Ritchie is a native of Heber City who has studied and practiced medicine in Utah
since the mid-1960's. He is one of the three founding members of the Heart
Center.
After
earning his B.S. and him M.D. from the University of Utah, Dr. Ritchie remained
at the University and served his residency in Internal Medicine. He later
served as a United States Air Force flight surgeon. From 1972 through 1974
he fulfilled his cardiology fellowship with the University of Utah Medical
Center.
Board
certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease, Dr. Ritchie is on
active staff at St. Marks and Cottonwood hospitals.
He
currently focuses his talents on
cardiovascular diagnosis and treatment, and standard and trans-esophageal
echocardiography.
Dr.
Ritchie is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a fellow of the
Council on Clinical Cardiology of the American Heart Association. He
is also an active member of the American Society of Echocardiography.
Dr.
Ritchie finds his greatest fulfillment in time spent with his wife and six
children.
