Dr.
Calame is a Board Certified Cardiologist.
He received his B.S. degree from Iowa State
University in 1969, and then began his medical
education at the University of Maryland Medical
School in Baltimore, Maryland, graduating in
1973.
Upon
graduation, Dr. Calame fulfilled his Internship
and his Residency in Internal Medicine at the
University of Utah. Upon completion of
these in 1976, Dr. Calame pursued a Fellowship
in Cardiology, also at the University of Utah.
Dr.
Calame holds active privileges at LDS Hospital,
Jordan Valley and SL Regional. He holds
courtesy privileges at St. Mark's and Pioneer
Valley Hospitals.
Dr. Calame participates in numerous
organizations and educational programs in the
field of cardiology. He is Assistant
Professor of Internal Medicine and Family
Practice at the University of Utah. He is
Governor of Utah's American College of
Cardiology, and is a Fellow in the American
College of Cardiology. Dr. Calame is Board
Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and
Interventional Cardiology. He is also
Prior Chief of Medicine at Salt Lake Regional
Medical Center.
Dr.
Calame is married with 4 children and he likes
running, skiing, playing hardball, snowboarding,
and bicycling.
