Interactive video games really are good for you

Games that require physical activity such as Nintendo Wii, Microsoft Kinect and Sony Move can give you just as much of a workout as if you were on a treadmill, a new study has found.
According to researchers at Brigham Young University and the University of Massachusetts, “exergaming” is a great form of exercise.
In the study, 39 boys and girls were tested by playing one of six active video games. Playing a game for 10 minutes (depending on the game) came to equal or exceed the workout one could gain during the same amount of time on a treadmill going 3 miles an hour.
Furthermore, kids who were overweight or at-risk for becoming overweight seemed to enjoy exergaming more than children who were at healthy weights.
So, don’t feel bad for playing video games. Just keep moving!
