Start Up and Launch

Pre-Launch Activities

Each local market takes approximately 3-6 months to fully launch the product line. Web and video product sales can begin immediately. The magazine takes 3 months of lead time to sell advertising for the premiere issue. The first two issues of the magazine are bi-monthly (every two months) to allow for a longer sales cycle. The start up process is defined below:

• Legal and Business Setup (month 1)
  Create a local L.L.C., prepare legal documents, create accounting system and set up bank account
• Marketing Materials (month 1-2)
  Create media kit; Create business cards, letterhead, and envelopes
• Sales (month 2-6)
  Recruit and train sales reps; Compile sales leads spreadsheet; Begin magazine/web/video sales
• Magazine Distribution (month 2-6)
  Compile business direct mail list; Purchase magazine racks; Establish delivery channel (outsource locally) and drop points
• Web Site (month 1-2)
  Create local implementation on CitiHealth.com site; Create a URL for the local web site; Create health directory (use sales lead spreadsheet); Create prospective providers and banner ads; List several events and offers to complete the web site
• Video Package (month 1-2)
  Secure local videographer relationship; Post production work done at the corporate office

Once the basic business is set up (by month 2), we can start generating revenue by selling web and video services with the target date of the magazine launch just a few months away.

Start-Up Costs

Start-up costs to launch our product line in each local market will run approximately $50,000 as defined below. The remainder of the investment funding will be used to grow the business and manage accounts receivable.

• Sales: $25,000
  3 to 4 months of pre-launch sales
• Marketing and administration: $5,000
  Marketing materials, legal and accounting setup, etc.
• Distribution: $15,000
  Distribution lists, magazine racks, securing drop locations and delivery channel
• Web site and video setup: $5,000
  Creation of local web site and establishing video production services
